Matthew Matt James is a North Carolina native born on 5 December, 1991. James is the son of Manny and Patty James and is of mixed race. His mother was caucasian and his father Nigerian. In 2010 James was a graduate of Sanderson High School. Then the following year, he attended Wake Forest University in order to earn a Bachelor's degree in Sciences in Economics. James was first noticed as a reality Star in The Bachelorette. In 2020, he was picked to become the bachelor for season 25 of The Bachelor, becoming the first African American lead. The season premiered in on the 20th of January in. James seemed to be the perfect match to be the role because He is attractive, well-rounded and an impressive height. The season ended when he chose Rachael Krkconnell to pursue a relationship with her. James teamed up with famous professional dancer Arnold in 2021, to take part in the 30th season of Dancing with the Stars. James and Arnold placed 12th in the show.
